Sophie is situated on Eastcliff beach and is close to the public toilet, a one minute walk away. This part of the beach is not dog friendly and dogs are not permitted in this hut. The hut comes equipped with everything you need for a day at the beach so you can sit back, relax, and build a few sandcastles.
This hut has recently been fully refurbished and has a very cute cottagey feel to it.
All our huts are front row and this hut has two small steps up from the path. Please note that there is a steep drop from the path to the sand at this part of the beach. To access the sand safely please use the beach steps.
At this part of the beach the tide regularly comes up all the way to the path. High tide lasts for around an hour before the sea goes back out again. There is room for no more than six people to sit outside the hut on the path during high tide.

All bookings are made via our website. Scroll down to the calendar, select the date(s) you require, enter your details and pay via Paypal or debit/credit card.
Once you’ve booked online you’ll be sent an automatic email confirming your booking. It will contain the keycode to the key safe on the hut so you can let yourself in on the day of your booking.
When booking you must accept our terms and conditions and cancellation policy. Please read these before booking.
We do not operate a waiting list for beach huts. To be notified of cancellations follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram. To be notified of new beach hut launches and when booking calendars are available sign up to our email updates here.

LOCATION
This hut is situated on Eastcliff beach between Last Fisherman’s Cafe and Hipkins’ Tea Room. This part of the beach is NOT dog friendly and dogs are NOT permitted in the hut. Please see the map.
WATER TAP
Water is FREE. For the nearest fresh water tap turn left out out of the hut, the tap is situated between the beach huts on the wall on the prom.
TOILETS
The nearest toilets are at Eastcliff just below the Naze Park. A one minute walk away. Open 7 days a week. Turn left out of the hut and walk until you see the brick building on the left – that is the toilet block.
PARKING
Parking is FREE. The nearest place to park is Cliff Parade, CO14 8HB. There is free on street parking on this road, and all the surrounding roads, all year round. The huts are a 30 second walk. Go down any of the steps to the beach from Cliff Parade.
6 people & NO DOGS.
This includes both inside and outisde the hut. Each hut is equipped for six people. It is not be possible for more than six people to sit in the hut if it rains, or to sit on the path outside the hut when the tide is very high. We therefore ask our guests to respect our six person limit.
So that we don’t impact on our beach hut neighbours please do not exceed this limit. If you require a booking for more people we recommend you book two huts together. Rosina and Doll are next door to each other. Margaret & Lucy’s Lookout are also next door to each other.
The hut comes fully equipped for six people with a camping table, plastic side table, four plastic tubchairs, two reclining plastic chairs, two windbreaks, a gas stove, kettle, crockery, cutlery, fire extinguisher, buckets and spades, first aid kit, bin bags, a clean dishcloth and tea towel. There are playing cards, a game, and a colouring book and pencils for rainy days. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar, long-life milk and biscuits.
Please note that a parasol is not provided. If you require one please bring one with you.
Walton on the Naze is the best beach in Essex for collecting fossilised shark teeth. Eastcliff beach, where our huts are, is an amazing spot and shark teeth can be found all the way from Last Fisherman Cafe up to the Naze. Just search in the patches of shingle on the beach.
We offer hessian shark tooth collecting pouches for you to keep your finds in.
£3.50 each. Please select the number of pouches you’d like at the checkout.
Your pouch(es) will be put in the beach hut ready for your arrival.
Shark teeth not included sorry – you’ll have to hunt for some!
Hire of our handmade ‘happy birthday’ and ‘happy anniversary’ bunting is FREE! Just tick the box when you make your booking and we’ll hang them in the hut for you.
You can also bring additional decorations with you if you’d like to.
Nemo’s Seafood offer a selection of seafood platters. They can make your platter to suit you, with whichever selection of seafood you prefer, and will deliver to you at our beach huts. Minimum spend of £50. Contact them HERE.
Please select your date(s) carefully. Once booked we are not able to transfer your booking to another date.
We do not offer refunds for poor weather. Please do not book in advance if you want guaranteed sunshine.
We require at least two weeks notice for cancellation. If cancelled more than 14 days before your booking £20 will be deducted and the balance will be refunded from the original fee. If you cancel less than 14 days before your booking the full value of your booking is non-refundable. We are not able to transfer your booking to another date.
